I don't believe it's the humira. Ulcerative colitis can cause depression and anxiety in the best of us. Living with chronic illness isn't easy for us, we worry about
the future, our health, have social/public anxieties as uc requires urgent access to bathrooms, anxieties related to body image (uc is an unsexy disease involving poop and accidents) and this can cumulatively cause depression.
Certainly, try everything available to you to distract you from uc, as one cannot worry about
their health 24/7 and be well. Many use varying techniques from mindfulness, yoga, meditation, to finding escapes of hobbies and things you enjoy to invest your time into. If it's too overwhelming then we do seek therapy and antidepressants
