Time to switch Meds?

I've been having some stomach cramps that have improved - but have been feeling queasy/nausea (which I'm wondering if that's the increase of canasa)

Number of BM hasn't been dramatically different (4-5 a day) - usually a couple in the AM and a couple in the PM - and for the most part pretty solid - a little loose here and there - but not a lot of diarrhea.

The major symptom has been blood - which has been inconsistent over the last two months - mostly on the TP.

Hey everyone - thanks again for your feedback and input - I've been taking the 4 llalda a day (2 in AM, 2 in PM) and 2 canasa supps per day (one after I get back from the gym and one before bed)

I do notice there's much less blood - still some mucus, some cramps and all, but the blood is better.

My one question - has anyone had an increase in "queasiness" (slight nausea) when increasing canasa? I've noticed that the last couple of weeks. I usually push through and eat, and haven't thrown up or anything - and it's worse when I've had an empty stomach. Just curious if anyone else has had this experience.

Because I haven't really had any diarhhea, and the bleeding is more limited to just on the TP, she wants me to just do Canasa once a day and the 4 LLialda and now use Analpram 2 a day, stop Metamucil and go on a low residue diet for a week or two to see what happens. She's suspecting that the blood may be more hemmi's/anal inflamation. And that the cramps and stuff might be the fiber (which I've been on for a couple of years). They also took blood again (had done so 2 weeks ago) to check the inflamation number and liver enzyme which last time was a bit elevated. Feel more like a Guinea Pig than anything else

Sometimes I get slight nausea when I have low rectal inflammation. I know it seems strange, but for me, their is a correlation.

I had written a response yesterday and for some reason it never posted on here... maybe the stupid wifi.

Anyway - so the Nurse practitioner thought that it might be more Hemmi's than the UC causing the blood, so since then at her direction. I've been using Analpram twice a day canasa once a day and llialda 2 pills 2 x a day for about three weeks - and had been off Metamucil for that time too. Also added Epsom Salt bath at the end of the day.

- Blood has definitely decreased. I still see a little bit on the toilet paper usually once in the AM. But for the most part that's been about it.

- BM has noticeably decreased as well (I'm thinking due to the removal of the fiber) and have had some stomach pains/cramping again. In fact the one night this week they were pretty intense that it kept me up most of the night (I had eaten escarole soup for a late night dinner and didn't realize how gassy that was, so that wasn't a good move)

Decided to restart the Metamucil again yesterday to try to get things moving - hoping that will alleviate the cramps and pains. I just went for Tunia (Chinese medicine - similar to accupressure) where he massaged the colon for a bit which definitely made it feel better.

Curious if any of you have had UC and hemmi's and what you're experience was in terms of how long till the bleeding disappeared from the hemmis. Oh - btw - the analpram, seems to have worked better when I finished the individual dosage tubes and got the regular one with the longer insert. So perhaps the medicine wasn't getting deep enough to the problem area.

What a pain in the ass, literally and figuratively, this has been.

On 5mgs of pred and optimistic
