What do I do? I've applied Prep H but pain is bad can barely walk too.
Don't see GI until next Wed.

I don't know why I can't catch a break.

I have them right now too and am taking hot baths daily and using prescription Hydrocortisone 2.5% creams. The anusol suppositories help too. I find Preparation H reallydiesnt help when you've got a bad case of hemmorhoids.

Hi...do you still have the nitroglycerin? It is used for external hemmies.

I had a huge hemmie when I was pregnant with my second son and couldn't put anything on it but ice. It helped so much. I put some water in a ziploc, shaped it to fit well in my undies, then wrapped it in a pantyliner and would sit on it until it melted.
I also did sitz baths with Epsom salts.

thank you all so much. I just had my first shower in literally 6 weeks. So far no burning! Fingers crossed.

1/4 of my right butt cheek is solid. I believe this is an abscess/fistula now. The spot on anus is soft, like it's going to burst. I hope it does and this drains soon. I don't want to chance sitz baths etc. But I could sit on a heating pad to hopefully draw it out. Pain isn't as bad as yesterday. I do have nitro if I get desperate.

Q -- would you mind reading my lengthy post on HBOT--- I could really use advice. It's such an amazing opportunity that I need to find a way to make it work.

How did the burning stop? I'm so glad you could finally shower and I really wish that this will be the end to this terrible ordeal.

Hey - all - was happy to see the topic here as soon as I logged on. Been going back and forth to the GI trying to determine if I was having a flare or Hemmi. They decreased (slightly) my UC meds and put me on analpram twice a day.

For the most part, my bm have decreased signifigantly since I stopped taking metamucil at their direction, but still see blood on TP - usually after the second or third wipe (sorry for TMI) -Do you all think it's hemmi? I've been on the analpram for a good two weeks and I'm still seeing it, which is why I'm freaking out a bit.

UB Tough....ohh, seems it's most likely abscess/fistula. Amazing no burning....and a shower too!

What's next on the appointment schedule for you?

I'm sorry, I don't know what thread you are meaning...could you post a link?
