He actually has seen another doctor that we really liked once, but due to distance, the doctor recommended he go back to his original doc. However, I've told him that he needs to go back to the other doctor (the one that is out of town) and do a followup...I don't trust his current doctor at all. I've wondered if his behavior would be considered psychotic, because some of the things he does and says makes no sense at all. He says that even he feels like he is losing his mind...yes, depression and anxiety are definitely things that he is dealing with as well. I don't, however, believe he would even consider talking to somebody about it (we've discussed that issue before, and he refuses). I will sometimes lay in bed at night, and I can hear him out in the other room, talking to himself. I understand that we all do that from time to time, but when he does it, it's just...different..almost like he is carrying on a conversation with someone. I tried to hear what he was saying, but I couldn't...I have told my mom that he seems irrational and delusional at times (although I'm no doctor, obviously...it's the only way I can describe some of the things I've seen him do and heard him say). I'm hoping that once he is off of them, he will go back to his "normal" mental state? Or does it take time, even after a person is no longer taking them?
