I see blood usually at the end of a chain of bathroom trips(morning). Rarely I look in the bowl and figure even with dilution it's a decent amount (night).
I am flying solo (can't afford to get proper medical care. I know, I know) I am guessing mine is uc lite so I've been taking vitamins and eating iron rich food. Cheerios, spinach, tuna. I look like I've gotten some color back in my complexion. But I still worry.
So how much do you bleed? How do you deal with it? When do you panic?
Thanks,
Brayden
Edit: bleeding did not occur this morning
I would still do everything to try to see a GI doc/physician and try asking for financial assistance from a hospital. Some hospitals will take patients without insurance or who can't afford the co-pay and waive it for them. Call the financial assistance departments at all your nearby hospitals/clinics, and you should find something.
Too much blood is generally obvious (toilet bowl is red every day) and you will have a tough time walking a few blocks. If your having small amounts of intermittent bleeding (only see on toilet paper or small amount in the stool), then you probably won't become anemic from that.
Keep a flashlight handy in the bathroom and use it to check things out after each bowel movement. I use flashlights so that I can see if there is blood and mucous when it's not as visible.
