Colonoscopy next Monday

My gi was not very communicative but I managed to hear him say moderate to severe ibd most likely colitis. Before he literally jogged out of the room he said diet didn't matter and that he was giving me a prescription for prednisone 40mg a day.

I couldn't believe that was all I got for my darn money once I get this colonoscopy I gotta find a new one. Prick

On what did he base the opinion of possible ibd?

Id wait to take the pred till after the scope.

Wait for biopsy results and then request a copy of your colonscopy report and biopsy report. Usually there's a follow up appointment with that doctor once the results are in, they go over them with you and answer your questions.

I agree, hold off on the pred if you can for one more week. It will just mask your symptoms and you won't get the most accurate results from your scope. Sorry the guy was a jerk. I also walked out of my first appointment for un-diagnosed UC with a scope scheduled and nothing else, but my doctor was kind, explained why he was ordering the scope, and what to expect afterwards.

No biopsy I can't remember his reasoning. He had just thrown out moderate to severe ibd so I was reeling plus questions seemed to distract him from his typing so I let it roll.

Already took the meds because honestly, my symptoms have been escalating and the pain in running me down

Plus side though eating whatever is nice I have been losing weight with the food aversion so hearing just eat was a relief. this burrito is so good
