Phattwoohie, thanks so much for the advice and tips and sorry you are having a similar experience. I didn't realise these enemas could cause so much soreness and irritation!
Funnily enough I have been looking online to try and find different types of enema nozzle to see if I could swop them. That's good if the fleet ones fit I'll order some of them.
Definitely going to get some lidocaine cream I think that will help because half the battle when trying to insert the enema is the soreness. If the Cavilon cream doesn't help I'll try some vaseline aswell.
I know the dignity thing is really getting to me right now. I want to go back to work soon but am dreading all the questions about
my absence and don't quite know how much and what to say. I know my Manager is going to want a long in depth conversation about
how work can support me etc which is good but just don't know what to say. Also nervous because their going to want to know the likeliness of me having anymore sick leave. Which is difficult because UC is new to me and from what I gather it can be very unpredictable
