A little nervous

I'm on my 5th day of prednisone and it doesn't seem to be helping. I still have some blood when I use the bathroom. More so in the mornings than later in the day. I've had somewhat normal BM's in the morning and then just a little stool and blood a few times during the day. I go see my new GI at the end of the month. I was diagnosed in 1992 with UC. My last flare up was about 2-2 1/2 years ago. I'm getting nervous about waiting so long to see the doctor. I guess I just needed to vent to someone who is going through the same thing.

Looks like I'll have to ask about the c-diff test then. Thank you for the reply!

They have me on 20mg and I'm doing the tapering dose, 3,3,3,2,2,2,1,1,1. Today is day 4. Before this I was just on 20mg one pill a day for 5 days and a rectal foam for internal hemorroids.

For the first 3 days I was taking 3 20 mg pills, the next 3 days I was taking 2 20 mg pills and the best 3 days 1 20 mg pills. Sorry if I wasn't more clear about that.
