Yup IP, just picked up the script for the Allopurinol.
I've actually been on Humira for around 3 months now.
I did see an IBD specialist a few weeks ago on recommendation of my GI. I was given 6 steps/game plan. 1 is now ruled out cause that was to up the 6mp to 125. I can't remember off the top of my head what all 6 were but in there was weekly shots of Humira, trying an antibiotic, possibly an Aza? not sure about this last one if I remember correctly. I wouldn't be surprised if weekly Humira is in near future. Between my scope in March and the Sig in June nothing had changed. Nurses words were "it's angry in there" after the sig.
More symptoms today. Definitely going backwards. After having a reduction in pain and then it rears it's head again, a person realizes what had become acceptable for daily life - and it sucks. Right?
What baffles me is my urgency is much better. So why would there be zero change in the inflammation? I don't even know if there's an answer for that.
I have to put aside this freeeeeeeeeaking weight gain and stop tapering the pred for now. Ive developed the fatty tissue in the back of my head/neck. Its grim. Anyway, I'm pushing the process and it's backfiring on me. I've been on the Colocort now for 2 1/2 weeks and this past weekend I switched to every other night, going back to nightly tonight.
I appreciate your feedback as always, IP. Glad you're here.
