Uceris and Alcohol?

Hi everyone,

I'm flaring and leaving soon for a 10 day vacation back to the East Coast including a few days in NYC. I've never traveled while flaring and am a bit nervous, but my urgency is pretty tolerable right now and that would be my biggest concern (giving myself enemas on my friend's couch when I crash at his place should also be super fun!).

Anyway, I've finally gotten my insurance to cover Uceris and will be starting it tomorrow. I'd like to have SOME fun while on vacation and am wondering how bad it is too drink alcohol on Uceris. Nothing crazy, but I love wine and want to have a glass or two at night and am visiting some wineries too. While flaring alcohol doesn't affect me badly but now that I'm starting the Uceris, I'm a little nervous...

I drank when I was taking Uceris. I drank wine without any issues.

What are you planning on doing while in NYC?

Just remember to stay hydrated, if you are flaring then you can get dehydrated easier.

Sometimes I would get drunk on less alcohol when I was flaring, it was unpredictable.
