Accutane and UC?

A few days ago I read some articles stating that Accutane is linked to the development of UC. I have been on isotretinoin myself about 6 years before I was diagnosed. I never had intestinal side effects, or at least I remember none.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone who is in the same situation as me? If I think on my genetics, yes my mother and her mother have terrible intestines but none has IBD or IBS.

There might be some class action lawsuits about it. I think that I've seen them advertised on TV.

I have never taken accutane but this topic often comes up on the Polish uc forum. None of the Polish uc-ers has ever had any problems while taking accutane nor after the treatment. Surprisingly some have even claimed to feel better than ever while on the drug (seriously, and those people really are not fakes). Many people have posted medical articles which question the theory that accutane can trigger uc and it really sounds convincing. Accutane has always been wildly contested by the cosmetic companies which lose billios of dollars when the sales of anti acne medicaments fall, that's why I wouldn't rule out the possibility that this may be an organized action to eliminate such a threat from the market.
