I'd like to hear from UCers with chronic constipation. Anyone try Linzess? Did it work? Side effects?

Colonscopy report showed very mild inflammation throughout colon. Dr. dropped me from 4.8 mg Lialda to half that. First med adjustment in 8 years.

Hello , I'm not going to be much help but I have a question ....

With the constipation do you have the "usual" bleeding ? Fresh blood ?

No bleeding except from fissures/hemorrhoids

So what symptoms do you get for the pancolitis ? Thinking I may have this !

How bad is your constipation ?

My bowels don't move even if the stool is loose enough. Have to take Milk of Magnesia

So even when you go do pass a stool it's not like that of a typical constipated stool ?

You have much pain ?

Journey2health, we had several members in the chronic pain forum that took Linzess for severe constipation associated with narcotics. Everyone of them had excellent results with it, the drawback for many, it was too expensive even with insurance. None of them mentioned any side effects at all. It sounds like this is something you should give a try.
