I am taking Balsalazide Disodium 750 mg. I was taking my morning dosage of it and one of the capsules got “stuck” in my throat. I burped and all of a sudden it (one open capsule) shoots up my throat into my mouth and nose. It feels like I have a sore throat when I swallow. My question is if I should I be worried about it or will it eventually go back to normal?

I wouldn't worry, it's fine to take Balsalazide Disodium without the capsule. In fact, that's recommended for those who have problems swallowing larger pills. So, it's not like it's toxic without the pill casing, or anything.

Yeah....capsules tend to do that.....happened to me a few times with fibre capsules, not so fun!

Take a few sips of water first, then take the capsules with enough water.

I will try that with the water. I’ve never had that happen before lol. It was a shock and “burned” a little. It was worse than getting water up your nose.

Using a straw can be helpful too. Pop the pill in your mouth then start sacking. Pills go right down.
