Welcome to the forum! Always glad to convert a lurker to a poster!
Thanks for the welcome and for the information. I have high hopes for Rowasa and feel disappointed that I haven't seen any improvement on it yet. I'll definitely be giving it more time. I realize that the flare progressed pretty far before it was added, which makes its job much more difficult.
I appreciate the feedback on the bleeding situation. Deep down I know that these are small ulcers which only bleed intermittently, but yeah, not the funnest thing to see!
I've never actually done a stool test since I've had this condition and I'm kinda curious to see what comes back, so that'll probably be something I push for. I live near the Houston area where we had that nasty hurricane/flood, and my flareup kind of corresponded with the aftermath. A lot of people around here have had some bizarre infections because of the floodwater situation so I'm kind of curious about
the possibility of that as a cause, though it's not the easiest thing to nail down and it's unlikely.
Good idea about
trying Canasa in the AM, and if I need a next level of medication I'm definitely leaning toward a rectal steroid before an oral one.
Thanks for the replies everyone... it helps a lot to hammer this out with you.
