I had my period 1/16 went for 7 days, normal flow. Started again today like a period every 15 or 20 days? I'm almost 50. Right after my January period, my boobs start bloating and hurting, I'm like no way, PMS? right after my period. They hurt for two weeks, bloating etc... now I'm on period. Is this normal as you begin Pre menapause ? Well I'm 48 going to 49. This is bull crap, on vacation this weekend, thought by January indication I was smooth sailing for February, NOPE! I had a blood test and it showed no premenapause.

Ugh, what a PITA!
I am so over my entire reproductive system right now, I cannot wait for menopause. That sounds like Peri-menopausal symptoms to me, and if I recall my mom had the same thing happen to her, crazy periods with no schedule for 2-3 years. She would have some cycles as short as 2 weeks and some as long as two months, just depended on what her body was up to at that point in time. She was also very moody! Sorry you are dealing with this.

Yep I had irregular periods for at least a couple of years before the end. In my case I had frequent periods but shorter in length, then skipping months altogether. Totally unpredictable. I remember trying to schedule a pap smear and they want to know when your next period is expected and I would have to say I have no idea!

I am only 45 but at 44 my periods got so crazy. Last month I had 2 periods. All my life you could set the moon against my menstration but now it's always off! That's all I can count on! Lol

I have issues with mine too except it’s more like it doesn’t show up for 4 months or 3 then it will sometimes last 2 days and sometimes 21! But idk if it is related to having UC or not.

Before peri-menopause I had my first really bad flare and I missed my period for a few months, so a flare can definitely impact things.

Sounds like when my mom hit peri-menopause around that age. Time to call the gyno!

Full moon means either awful PMS or cycle. This month was crazy with the moon cycle, things have been on and off for weeks. it's awful. Maybe it was the moon cycle for you too. I know I sound like a flake, but it happens.

THanks ladies, it just sucks since I’ve had iron injections lately, I bleed from ulcers and now double periods, I bet I will need more infusions soon.

Yes - I've just started going through the exact same things over the past 6 months (I'm now 52). The boob bloating that might have been just a little the day before my period is really bad and now lasting for a week+ (so far maybe once every 3rd or 4th month it's happened). Random longer periods, and sometimes 2 weeks apart, sometimes 6 weeks. Ughhhh!

You can have a blood test to determine if in fact you are pre-menapause. Your gyno doctor can do it.
