Round 3 Entyvio

Going in for round 3 of Entyvio on tues. I am told this is when I could start seeing results? Any idea how much truth there is to this? Success stories? Someone make me feel warm and fuzzy about this 😜

I will have my year anniversary on entyvio next month. Happy to report I've been in symptomatic remission since last September (after infusion #5) when a colonoscopy showed no visual inflammation (although the biopsy showed an area of microscopic active colitis. So happy to have my life back and to be able to eat normal again. I do sometimes have a few mild symptoms but overall life is good! I wasn't able to say that before entyvio.

I would say I noticed a difference after infusion #3 although I recall having breakthrough symptoms again about 2 weeks before #4. I went back on canasa suppositories and uceris foam then. I will have #9 next month and no longer have breakthrough symptoms. One thing I will note--my infusion prescription was initially written wrong and I had each of my 3 loading doses only 2 weeks apart each. So instead of 0-2-6 weeks mine were 0-2-4. So perhaps my quick response was because of that?

I have experienced an increase of headaches/migraines but I'm not certain they're from the entyvio. And although theory can be debilitating g I have imitrex to take for them and they're still a better tradeoff than UC symptoms. And they seem to be getting a little better too.

I'm coming up on a year with Entyvio myself. Am in what I would call a complete remission, insofar as I have no remaining UC symptoms--and this after a horrid two-year-long flare, steroid dependency, etc.

I will say that it took a while to get to this point, and things improved very gradually over many months. But here I am now and all is well. No prednisone, no symptoms. Total success in my book.

Be patient and if you start responding at all, keep at it.

I would say I started seeing a noticeable difference after infusion #2-3. The problem for me wasnt seeing improvement, it has been trying to get into remission with it. I'd say i'm easily 60-70% better on Entyvio and its been the only medication I've seen some relieve with during my 20 month flare. but i cannot seem to get over that hump to full remission like FlowersGal. My doctor has elected to move me up to every 6 weeks instead of 8 so we will see if that does anything.

like others have said, be patient with it and let it run its course.
