I am prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow (Monday) afternoon. For the first time, I'm doing a 2-step prep - Suprep. While the 1st does this evening worked (though it took almost 2 hours to kick in), I was extremely nauseous after drinking the mix. I don't think there is any way I'll be able to keep the 2nd dose down tomorrow am. This does did seem to really clear me out. All liquid eat the end, almost running clear.

Does anyone have experience not taking an entire prep mix and still being clear enough for a good procedure? I did a few years ago - with a one step prep the night before that I couldn't finish - but doctors said I was clear.

I think you'll be fine, especially since you are running pretty clear already.

I rarely drink more than half and never have any problems. ;)

(Try prepopik next time, low volume and easy.)

Drink as much as you can. As long as you are running clear you should be fine. I too felt nauseous and dehydrated by the end of it.

My first colonoscopy prep, I was so sick that I couldn't keep the solution down, I puked it up every time. Somehow, I was clear enough to get some good imaging during the procedure. This may have a lot to do with the fact that I wasn't eating very much because I was so sick.

My second colonoscopy, they had me do an enema prep (in the hospital). It hurt SO BAD because I was so inflamed. I could barely stand it. One of the most painful things I've ever done through. I was only able to do one bag (they wanted to do two) - They said there was "a lot of poop" when they did the colonoscopy but they were still able to see what they needed to see...
