2nd surgery out of 3. Pain still here

I had my second surgery out of three the creation of my J pouch and I am still in major pain 25 days later the pain is in my butt for the first time today I had mucus come out. Taking percocets every 4-6 hours. Is this normal the amount of pain? My first surgery I was feeling so much better within 3 weeks. I am worried about taking the percocets this often but I can't go without them way too much pain

Ks1905 the Percocets have acetaminophen already in them . That’s the reason I try to go every 6 hour sometimes I am afraid to toast my liver with that much acetaminophen. I had blood work done less then two weeks ago. No fever , I had one with my first surgery a week after I was released from the hospital and ended back in there for the night on antibiotics for a skin infection.

I just want this pain to subside. Is it wrong of me to have dreams where my surgeon has the same surgery as I did ... so she can know the pain and I say to her “ you don’t need the pain kills this long “ a quote from my surgeon on Monday

Clo2014 I see that now regarding recovery time . Guess I was expecting the same from my first surgery but this one was so invasive. And yes my nerve ending seem to cry out in pain a lot .

I really didn't experience any intense pain from surgery. I was well managed in the hospital, and after a few days, I was off all pain meds. Perhaps I have a high pain tolerance, but I don't think so, I am sort of a wuss. What kind of pain? It could be something worth investigating, like an abscess, a kink, or adhesions. I think at this point it's time to get it checked out since you still need pain meds regularly and it's been almost a month.

Honestly I did not have major pain from the 2nd surgery. The first one my body was so weak I was in pain going into it already so it was rough. I was able to get off the pain killers 3 days out of the hospital. Everyone's different and it depends on the surgery.
