I am tempted to say I'm cured bc I don't believe removing an entire intestine is a "cure" but I can say I was on my death bed (not an exaggeration I was literally dying from malnutrition) to being back to feeling really well pretty quickly after the first surgery. I'm two weeks out of the final surgery and while I poo anywhere from 3-8 times a day I have no urgency and I'm pretty confident in leaving the house which is something I could never do with UC. Not to mention I feel healthy and I'm on no meds. My quality of life is so much better and isn't that what were all looking for on here?

Congrats. I always love success stories, and knowing others have beat this awful disease! Once you've regained a good QOL, you realize all you've been missing and can now do. Make the most of it
