Some people swear that psyllium seed is their answer to regularity.
My gut hates almost all fiber pills and heavy fiber veggies so I have to be very attentive to eating some cooked spinach every day (not a lot, 1 TB) plus resistant starch as in potatoes or rice pasta.
Fiber actually causes constipation for me.
Have you tried fiber pills? many types to test out. Citrucel is tolerated the best for me but again so many here like psyllium there must be a reason.
You should do a week of no fiber in your diet (no nuts, oatmeal, popcorn, whole grain bread, etc) and see if things are better.
Then the next week take fiber pill daily and see if that is better.
Right now however you could use one of the enema types that act as a laxative. Can't remember the name. Non prescription.
It really is your gut giving it's opinion.
