Royal Flush agrees with iPoop! (Awesome name, by the way.) Circle gets the square!
Blender/Vitamix and/or juicer – get the nutrients right in your body ASAP. My additional two cents include high-quality probiotics (preferably Kefir water and Kefir milk, but you have to make them yourself), and a vegetable-based enzyme to aid your body to breakdown food so you get the nutrients versus passing them on.
Why?
These items were an incredible help to my flares. The first HUGE step was simply introducing probiotics. I began with a high-quality probiotic from a natural grocer (in my area that would be Sprouts/Whole Foods) and now make my own Kefir Water and Kefir Milk (no longer buy the very expensive probiotics. The Milk tastes a tad like yogurt, which I’m not a fan of, but within an hour my stomach feels settled and gets that ‘cool’ feeling. Later, the intestines calm. Of course, results will vary depending on how bad the flare. The Kefir Water is an odd taste like sprite with, like, a tang to it…hard to explain.
The next huge thing was the enzyme. Please find a high-quality vegetable-based enzyme. Take one or two before you eat anything cooked (I’d suggest taking one before anything raw while on a flare to help digest the nutrients versus passing them). You’ll notice a huge difference in energy and sleep. (You may get diarrhea during the first week or 2 with the enzyme…your body will have to get used to it…but, hey, we’re all used to that.)
Juicing, smoothies, Kefir, and the enzyme turned my life around in less than 3 months starting July 4th last year (how apropos). It’s all a work in progress for what I can eat and what causes gut issues. Currently when I flare, the pain is maybe a 3; blood is 90% less; and it rarely lasts more than a few days to a week at worst.
