Mild pain in sigmoid after colonoscopy

Hi there, about 36 hours ago I had a colonoscopy. It showed mild inflammation in sigmoid, descending and transverse parts (mayo 1 classification) of my bowel. My GI took about a dozen of biopsies from sigmoid, descending and transverse parts of my bowel. I had no problems apart from typical gas and occasional mild pain in sigmoid part of my colon. I expected that the pain in the sigmoid part will go away today but it seems that it is still there. Pain is really mild and seems to get worse when gas accumulates in sigmoid but it also is painful if I push my finger hard against that part of stomach. I wss wondering if this sounds as something I should be alert about? Has anybody had similar mild pains for days after colonoscopy?

It's perfectly normal to have your system upset for 3-4 days following a colonoscopy. The prep and scope are harsh and invasive. You will go back to your normal, give it more time.
Mild inflammation isn't all that bad. Does that result match up with how your symptoms are?

Normal. Lots of gas from the scope probably...can you expel it comfortably? Have you had a bm yet?

Thanks, my simptoms before scope were mild so probably this matches what showed up in colonoscopy. I passed my first BM couple of hours ago, doesn't feel like much gas has been trapped inside anymore. But still slight, mild pain in one particular point somewhere along sigmoid location. Might it be minor injury from place where biopsy were taken?

It could be from where the scope turned a bend, it could be an inflamed area, it could be from many things.
