Anyone on Xeljanz having trouble sleeping?

I've been on Xeljanz for 2.5 weeks so far. For the past week, I haven't been tired at all. Not at bedtime, not when I wake up in the middle of the night, and not when I wake up very early in the morning. Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't see this on the list of common side effects. I am not on prednisone or any other medications.

As for progress on Xeljanz, last night I only got up to go once (usually it's more like 3-4 times) and stool seems to be getting less watery the last few days. I'm nervously hopeful as no other medications have had any effect on me. I was really mentally prepared for this not to work and to get a j-pouch next year. Wish me luck!

Are you on any other medications, besides Xeljanz? I ask as steroids, such as prednisone, are notorious for insomnia...

When was the last time that you were on Prednisone or other steroids? I know that you are currently not on them.

I'm not currently on any other medications or steroids and I have not been on prednisone in over a year, but it does feel very similar to how I felt on while on prednisone.

I started xeljanz on 10/05/2018 so we must've started about the same time.

I can sleep fine however I need to get up several times to use the restroom.

I started Xeljanz on 10/12/18, but still tapering down on Pred - currently at 10mg Pred, but yes, I've noticed this mildly... however, since I'm tapering, I'm also dealing with the major crash of less steroids... so strange. Crashing at 3pm each day big time until a Pred dose at 530p (I do 5mg morning 5 mg night), so hard to tell if night lack of tiredness is Pred or Xeljanz. I must say, I am impressed with the Xeljanz results so far. Adrina, partlycloudy - how about y'all ?

Thanks for asking. I've gotten a little better initially but I'm still in pain and all. I'm having surgery anyway so I really don't care if xeljanz will work or not. I'm just taking it because I don't want to get back on steroids before surgery as it might make healing more difficult. If I get some improvement before surgery I'll take it but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm starting to think that my symptoms improving slightly might have just been a fluke. I've recently had some stress occur and my symptoms are right back to where they used to be. And now I'm having to deal with my insurance claiming my doctor didn't send it the next month's prescription while he says he has. So great, more stress to make my symptoms worse while delaying my meds.

Andrina, I can see why you are going for the surgery. All of these hoops they make you jump through for meds that probably won't work... I hope you get the relief you need soon!

So Pfizer, with your doctor's request, will send you a free 1 month supply of Xeljanz while everyone jumps through the insurance hoops... I also started to 'panic' as when I dropped down to 10mg prednisone, some of my bleeding came back. However, the difference here is when that's happened in the past, the urgency and frequency increased. Not the case here... and doing more research it appears it may take us a few months to get the best results. I always forget to account for the long periods of time it takes for one's attacked colon to finally heal... and... I am only 14 days into Xeljanz, slightly behind where you are, partlycloudy...
