Change from Cortiment/Uceris to Prednisolone-any experience?

I've been reading a lot on the forum, but first time I may ask for your help/advice.
about 2 1/2 weeks ago I figured first signs of a flare, increasing bms, cramping and some blood. My doctor advised to try Cortiment MMX 9mg which I took for about 9 days. Also took mesalamine enemas and suppositories. The blood stopped, but the cramps persisted. So we decided to change to 40mg Prednisolone as this has helped in the past. I've been taking it for 5 days now, not very long, but it feels that it doesn't work as good as before. The cramps still persist, I can even feel the suppository touching the inflamed area (transition sigmoid-rectum it seems) but somehow it doesn't get better. I know that 5 days is not a great amount of time, but I'm also hesitating increasing the dosis since my doctor is on holiday right now ... Does anyone have experience with changing from Cortiment/Uceris to Prednisone? What is the equivalent to Prednisolone?

Well, the question of moving up the ladder to a biologic has been an ongoing topic for the last couple of years; unfortunately, last year we found out I don't have any antibodies against measels (received only one shot as a child) so that my doc wants me to stop the Azathioprine first, get the vaccine and then try a new medication. I am right now in the process of finishing my dissertation so I keep postponing since the possibility of getting a big flare when tapering/stopping the Aza is not very encouraging.

Had my last scope in May, all fine, only the sigma-rectum area they found "increasing vascular drawing", but assumed that might be related to the preparation. Biopsies showed no inflammation, no ulcers, no bleeding etc. Actually, the final letter said "full remission".
