First of all I am NOT against vaccines and believe in the judicious use of vaccines such as measles and other childhood diseases. My reputation for being against vaccines may have come from having spoken up for more testing before shooting up Hepatitis B vaccines, with all their toxic adjuvants, to newborn infants.
I thought this article showed the need for more INDEPENDENT testing of the MMR, if not by Corvelva then by another reputable testing lab. Please remember that in 2004 Merck, the maker of the MMR, was caught skewing the results of clinical trials in favor of the arthritis drug, Vioxx, to hide evidence that the drug increased patients’ risk of heart attack.
Dr. David Graham, the Associate Director for Science and Medicine in FDA’s Office of Drug Safety, testified in 2004 before the Senate Finance Committee that the FDA's failure to recall
VIOXX earlier had resulted in as many as 55,000 premature deaths from heart attacks and stroke, calling it the equivalent of allowing "two to four jumbo jetliners" to crash every week for five years. Even years after discontinuing use of the drug, patients who have taken Vioxx continue to experience complications.
This is public knowledge and you can check out the links from dozens of reputable news sources that covered this scandal such as the NY Times, The Wall Street Journal, NBCnews, etc., etc., etc.
The scandal is one thing, the cover up was even worse:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/merck-created-hit-list-to-destroy-neutralize-or-discredit-dissenting-doctors/Merck made a "hit list" of doctors who criticized Vioxx, according to testimony in a Vioxx class action case in Australia.
Merck emails from 1999 showed company execs complaining about doctors who disliked using Vioxx. One email said: 'We may need to seek them out and destroy them where they live ...'Another example is Eric J. Topol who served as chairman of cardiovascular medicine at Cleveland Clinic. Topol was the first physician researcher to raise questions about
the safety of rofecoxib (Vioxx). He testified that Vioxx posed an "extraordinary risk".
Two days afterward, Topol was informed that the position as chief academic officer at the Cleveland Clinic had been abolished, and he was removed as provost of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, which he had founded. The Clinic described the timing as coincidental.
The criticism against Corvelva may or may not be justified but I firmly believe that there should be some independent testing of vaccines.
