D, you are still in the middle of a flare. This is not uncommon, we see people here start out on too low of a dose of prednisone. Once they finish symptoms can return or different ones show up. One option is to back on prednisone for a while longer.

The other option is to look for a certified herbalist since you are only interested in natural methods. There are many of them out there, check them out on the net.

I agree with straydog, I get the feeling your illness is under treated, and that you need to get onto something that works, whether it's biologics or some other thing, I would start the biologics while you experiment with other methods. I know you don't want to hear that. Sorry...

Loss of appetite is probably due to your flare. When your gut is inflamed and hurting it affects your appetite.
