Hello everyone,
So as I posted earlier I have been hunting for natural remedies to achieve remission for an ongoing 8 months flare. I have been reading lots of old stories and found some options such as kefir, qing dai, scd diet, boswellia, psyllium husk, and slippery elm. If there are any stories that have brought you to remission I would love to hear please! Will take all the advice.
Thank you!!

I tried many natural remedies during which time my flare got worse and worse, had to resort to stronger medication in the end (which if I had turned to earlier might not have needed to be strong). My point being, try them if you want but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out.

Uceris and 6MP put me into remission. I've been in remission for a few years now.

D, the older threads is all you will find in this forum. A vast majority of the members here are treating with traditional UC medications of all varieties. Some may use a diet, or create their own based on what they can tolerate, same with a few supplements.
You posted June 6th asking the same thing. Find yourself a certified herbalist that has knowledge of herbs. You posted that you did not know what the herbs were that your nurse friend recommended. Trying to treat UC blindly is not a good idea.
FaceBook has a lot of UC forums with natural remedies, you may get the answers there that you are seeking.

SCD / diet manipulation and a calorie deficit definitely makes a big difference for me, but it certainly isn't a cure. Boswelia and Curcumin seem to help me. I haven't noticed a benefit from probiotics, kefir, psyllium husk, slippery elm, etc

Thank you! Which brand of boswelia do you use?
