Looking to maybe add a fiber supplement. Since I have this constipation issue and am basically inactive because of my accident thought it might be a good idea to try to get things moving. Any ideas of one that might be good without causing too much distress to the gut. Also how much to take? Low residue diet isn’t helping.

Konsyl has worked great for me over the years.
(It’s in the section where they sell metamusel)
I usually take a teaspoon at least twice a day, sometimes three times a day.
Take mixed in with a big glass of water.

Hi Rusty

Thanks

I really like Psyllium husk. I was pretty sensitive to it, I think the dosage says three with each meal and I'm good with one per day!

I take Metamucil also. I don’t mind the powder and take it at bedtime. I also use a stool softener when needed to help keep stool on the softer side and easier to pass.

I have been taking 2 tbsp psyllium seed powder every day, in the morning. I mix it with a little Metamucil because it tastes like dirt by itself. In the beginning it was a little difficult to get used to. After about
a month my gut activity really settled down. Been taking it for about
10 years.

I use the capsules, 6 twice daily with meals.
Definitely a good thing for me.

I get it at Walmart. It’s in a container like metamusel and it’s right next to it.

Should fiber be taken while flaring? Still having these bathroom issues of not going like I should.

I’ve been taking psyllium for years. Currently 6 Metamucil 3in1 capsules first thing. Makes all the difference.

Thanks everyone! Have a video chat with specialist tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll get some type of plan. Hard when dealing with 2 GI’ s
Can’t see specialist until his new building is completed in January. Better write my questions down. Today I’m going to pick up some fiber supplements. Start slow.
Did buy some pine needle tea yesterday. My friend swears by it. Anyone ever try it?
