Well that didn’t take long….

Are you sure it's a flare and not something else? If you went from no symptoms to going multiple times a day suddenly it could be from something you ate. If that's the case it should settle down in a couple days.

I am pretty sure that Stelera can be given monthly so check with your doc.

Xeljanz or some of the other newer drugs are also options if you need to move on from Stelera.

Definitely flare. Started out just small now it’s rocking and rolling.

Same exact thing happened to me. Loading does felt great. Down hill from there. Had two injections and that was it. Calprotectin 3,025!
Just started Remicade

Flagyl is typically for infections such as c diff or another gut infection. Maybe your doctor is trying to cover all bases? It can give a really nasty metallic taste in your mouth even when just sipping water. I put it on a spoonful of yogurt or applesauce and don't let the pill touch my tongue to help combat this. It's a very strong antibiotic and I really don't like it. They gave it to me along with my mesalamine when I was first diagnosed, I still don't really know why.

Now that Stelara didn't work, I assume your insurance will cover Xeljanz. It's the only thing that has worked for me out of the biologics. I hope it works for you just as well!
