Accredo (specialty pharmacy) and my doctors are driving me crazy!
I'm on Xeljanz (or I will be until my prescription runs out on Saturday).
I ordered a refill through the specialty pharmacy a week ago and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday.
But apparently they can't fill it because I re-started birth control and they need confirmation from my GI's office about the prescription. But my GI's office wants confirmation from my Gyn's office that they are OK with it. (The Gyn was aware I was on Xeljanz. I specifically talked to her about it and the risks with pregnancy.)
Of course the pharmacy didn't tell me anything about this issue, even when I called Thursday morning to ask why I didn't have a tracking number yet. They told me that sometimes the tracking number takes a while to get but I should still receive my prescription that day. Meanwhile, it turns out there was a hold on the order because of this prescription issue and they've been waiting to hear back from my GI. If they had told me that when I called Thursday morning, I could have started bugging my GI and Gyn then! Now it's approaching Friday afternoon and I don't know if this will be resolved before the weekend.
Maybe if I promise to stop taking the birth control, they'll give me the drugs HAHA - but I guess I'll try it HAHAHA
