Oh all you people are so lovely, thank you for your responses. I will take the time to respond back…
quincy- I started salofalk in JAN of this year (4 pills a day) I kept getting worse. So my GI (Obviously has no clue or maybe just wants to use the conservative method) just kept increasing my pill intake!! Now I am at 16 a day ridiculous! Put me on Imuran ATLEAST!
I started the rectal suspension last week (I dunno just doesn’t seem to be helping)
Other meds are just tyleonol one a day that’s it. And the chest pains are SO random (once at night once in the middle of the day?) I am not doing any vigorous exercize either.
Im going for the chest xray today. The WBC count after my blood test was high and I had a colonoscopy done just last week showing my GI that I have moderate to severe UC
Sara14- I am going to the doctors today for a chest x-ray now. I read on the internet there could be many causes of it, however a side effect (rare) of salofalk IS chest pain and shortness of breath (That’s exactly what I feel its hard to breathe in deep when I have the pain- I was confused if that meant shortness of breath infact it’s exactly what it meant)
I will keep you posted about this as to whats happeneing.
fatboyslim- OMG It lasted 45 minutes???? Why were you NOT in emerg? Mine thank god didn’t last that long however the after effect makes that area feel very tender. I also get back pains but not in that same area. Please for my sake go get checked out okay! I hope u feel better, don’t EVER have this pain lasting more than 15 minutes go to emerg im serious.
Newmother- I also pray for you that it goes away. Are you on any meds? See for me I already am going through a crazy flare up right now, in flare ups of UC is it common to have these chest spasms? They feel like a heart attack kinda don’t they? Cuz they are so close to the heart! So maybe after the chest x-ray I will ask to give a stool sample, See what they can do. Are you tender in that area as well? How long did yours last?
foxieloxy- What meds are you taking? And are u also going through a flare up?
