Well, I think that I can finally say that I am out of my first flare since being diagnosed July 18. No D, no blood. Bathroom trips are around 2-4 a day. It only lasted 4 months, hopefully the next won't be so long, or better yet, maybe there will never be another, wishful thinking anyways. I visited the Gastro first part of November and he said that he really thought I would improve even more, that would be great. I did change meds to Colozal from Asacal since I have lost half of my hair. Luckily I had more than a fair share than most. My hair stylist said that I had, "normal people hair now." I am still seeing my PCP because he is treating me for my blood clot...still on blood thinners. My blood can't decide if it wants to be thick or thin these days.
I guess I just want to say thank you to all of you for helping me get through these first months of my diagnosis. You all have offered such good knowledge of this disease, and I appreciate that. I am more comfortable with it now, and don't get online as much, but when I do I am again always learning. There are many of you that know so much and can answer every question. Thanks!!
