I have a question.

I've had a flare up since Sept.  We've tried several things such as adding 6mp to my daily Asacol.  Increasing the amount of Asacol and now two antibiotics & an enema for 30 days. I'm feeling maybe all of this is not so good.

6mp, Asacol and emenas don't sound like too many meds to me. That seem to be a fairly typical regimen for a lot of our members. Now the antibiotics....what were those for?

I guess to stop the diaherra I've had for the majority of the last 90 days.

What's not so good is the body harming effects of a long term flare up. If you can use some meds to bring your UC into remission it's probably better for your body than being constantly anemic, dehydrated from diarrhea and losing weight.

Guess I'm kind of new to this. I was diagnosed in 1998 but it has been in remission until later part of last year. I'd only had a few flare up before Sept. Looking at what everyone takes has been a real eye opener. Thanks for your responses.
