LOL...is your husband a red-head as well?
I call what I do based on my license...sometimes they call it hairdressing, other times it's hairstyling. I don't know...whatever seems better at the time. I'm now in the hairdresser phase ..
One normally loses 50 - 100 hair a day. There's also a whole-head shedding every 2 - 6 years...it would depend on how long the follicle is programmed to grow a hair before the dormant stage, which is about 3 months. The hair then falls out and a new one starts growing.
There's only a small amount of dormant hair compared to growing hair happening at the same time...about 10%....but there are some cases where the process is askew and hair loss may be more noticable.
There are definitely things that can interfere with the growing phase or accelerate the shedding phase... stress, malnutrition, meds, hormones, illness, surgery, etc. Of course, I can't leave out heredity, because if you're preprogrammed to lose hair after a certain age, there's not much you can do about it. any women in your family with thinning hair?
I think with you it's probably the 6-MP, but in combo with the Colazal and your wonky period stuff. You've had your thyroid checked lately?
Are you taking multi-B vitamins? Have you discussed hairloss with your doctor? Remember long hair will be MORE noticed in the shower than short hair. I've cut my hair shorter by 4 inches and it's not as noticable as it was before (on the bathroom floor after doing my hair).
Hope this helps..
