how to overcome loss of appetite

I am down to 5mg and I think starting to flare.  It seems to be triggered by a cold that I got the day before my flare symtoms came on so I have my fingers crossed that as my cold goes away that these UC symptoms will also.  It doesn't feel out of control yet but I know that it can get that way quick so every time I try to out smart it.  I am starting to loose my appetite which I use to think was due to weening off prednisone.  I am now convinced that loss of appetite is just a symptom of UC.  Any suggestions to how to overcome this loss of appetite? Ensure gives me worse "D" so I am trying to avoid that. Some blood but not much but now like 3bm's a day after being 100% perfect for the past couple of months.  Times like this that I wonder if I just need to have my colon removed and be rid of this up and down roller coaster.

Loss of appetite is a symptom of UC FOR SURE. jUST MAKE SURE YOUR taking food supplements and taking a good multivitamin.
