Does remission=normal BM

When you are in remission are your stools big fat and normal everyday?????

No blood??

No mucos???

Sometimes I will have normal BM for a day maybe two then I get the skinnies

or what I call cat poop. That is best case for me but usually does not last long.

The skinnies (good term) could be from rectal inflammation/spasming or a tight sphincter from IBS or stress.

Remission is pretty much normal bms..never any bleeding (although I do have a fissure that opens from vigorous wiping)...but on occasion I get skinnies, especially when I don't eat enough during the day before or if my back is reallllly painful.

An antispasmodic (I use dicyclomine) can help with relaxing the rectum/anus if related to IBS, stress, spasming or flaring.

I just came out of a flare thanks to everyones help on this board and once you get consistent bm's that aren't soft serve looking you can probably relax....well at least I do but its all about being aware of what's going on. Remission is what you consider it really.
