Hi friends,
I've been gone a long time, and I decided to stop in for a visit. I stopped posting for personal reasons having nothing to do with the awesome people on this site. I went for several months with no meds, but had a flare up about 4 months ago, and now I am back on Asacol for an indefinite period of time. However, being a much smarter person than I was in my early years of UC, I caught it, got back on meds and I'm sailing along just fine. I just wanted to say hi to old friends and new. To the new folks -- I learned so much from the veterans here. I have a whole new diet and health regimen that would not have been possible without this site.

Welcome back.

Good you started on your meds....it's good insurance. You could also consider rectal meds...even suppositories will help keep some rectal inflammation down...considering that's where your flares will start.

Treating earlier and earlier will make a difference.
