Viagra May Help Crohn's Disease
Researchers Say Weak Immune System May Trigger Disease

Maybe this is why Niacin Flush is also helpful in IBD

Interesting idea. And a lot of the guys would enjoy the "side effects" too, I'll bet.

Maybe in another 40 years or so, LOL. Intriguing article nonetheless. I've heard something similar, that one part of the immune system may not be functioning properly (regulatory T-cells), not telling the rest of the immune system to turn off when it needs to (though with Crohn's there may well be an infection that the body just can't seem to fight off). Maybe boosting these regulators would help, but there could also be something as simple as increasing the blood flow to prevent the bacteria from taking over quicker than our bodies can respond or at least in Crohn's.

When they say in that article that the people with Chrohn's disease had a lower immune response to the killed bacteria, I hope they're compensating for the fact that most people with Chrohn's are going to be on medications that purposely suppress the immune system....so yeah of course their response would be lower
