The drug's name is Infliximib, the doctor may know it by that name instead of Remicade, I'd tell him both names. It is given through an IV, it takes about 3 hours. A simple explanation of how it works is it surpresses your immune system so it stops attcking the colon. There are also pills that do this, 6mp and another, someone else will know the name. You might want to give those a try before Remicade, that is what most people do. You have to take a test for tuberculosis before you start it, and they made me take a chest xray as well. That is a link to the Remicade website.
