update on remission...

hello all!

been awhile since i posted.. i guess when your feeling better and can actually go out and do stuff, you forget about the misery.

just wanted to say in addition to a post back in december = i am still in remission!! woo hoo.

i went to landmark forum (www.landmarkeducation.com) in december (4th,5th,6th & 8th) and havent had a symptom at all since the night of the 6th of december.

i was in the seminar on friday sat and sunday wondering if i would have to go back to hospital cause i was so bad.  the toilet trips were a minimum of 40 minutes and it looked like freddy krueger had a go in the toilet bowl.  massive amounts of blood and pain.

but on sunday night during the forum we did this exercise and i havent had a single symptom since.  its very hard to explain about this course. something you have to go thru to "get it".  my business coaches tried to get me to go for a year. and i finally went. glad i did.  it was a choice exercise and it fixed me ("i" fixed me).  i "want" to say "cure" but who knows. i just have this feeling inside that i will never get it again.  lets hope im right!

a whole year on meds couldnt fix me, been to the hospital and i thought i would never get rid of it.  i cant believe i got rid of it overnight.

seriously! the next day (monday) i only went to the toilet once and it was fully formed normal bm.  i couldnt believe it. and to this day 2 months later it has been the same.  no pain, no blood, no diarrhea, no nothing.  not a single symptom.

i eat anything and everything. i drink and go out and nothing affects me.  except now im gaining weight

i dont know if anyone will get the same outcome from this as everyone gets something different out of the forum. 250 people were changed in some way -100% success rate. it was unbelievable.

i was worried what responses i would get as this is a kinda unconventional..

the choice demo was just one tiny part on sunday night. other people got fixed from other parts of the 3 days and an evening. this was the part that affected me the most.

but the choice demonstration was basically along the lines of "i've got it, nothing i can do about it, there is no cure, this is life, why not make it my choice?"
so "i choose ulcerative colitis BECAUSE I CHOOSE ulcerative colitis"
i dont know how it happened, i got the goose bumps and cried a little (dont tell anyone lol) and i said it outloud.

when your sick for a year you will try anything to get better. i tried medicine and alternative therapies. homeapathy, naturopathy, crystals, positive thinking, affirmations.. you name, i tried it. nothing worked for a year.
this did for some reason.
i guess when you stop resisting something it goes away.
resistance = persistance.
when you resist something and talk about it all the time and ***** about it etc... it persists and stays where it is.
i dont know.
i could be talking out my bum, but hey, it worked for me and ive seen it work for others.

the gentleman doing the demonstration on stage with the forum leader was almost completely blind. he could only see 3 feet in front of him and that was blurry anyway. he came to the forum in the beginning with a blind persons walking stick etc..
well after the choice demonstration he did, he came back on the tuesday evening without the stick and was leading his blind sister on his arm. he didnt fully regain his vision, but it got better. that is amazing.
another lady had 6 months to live and had hands that clenched up and wouldn't unclench. a few weeks after the forum she went to doctor and they couldnt find her disease anywhere in her body. thats nuts!!!!
i didnt believe it. but it worked for me.
i went to this thing for business. my business coaches told me to go. they triedto get me to go for over a year. and i just put it off.
i didnt expect to fix myself, but that is what i got.
a lot of skeptics were there and they got something out of it as well. the grumpiest unsmiling guy there was beaming on tuesday night.
everyone get something different.

anyhoo, thats the story... i am absolutely amazed and just wanted to share with all of you in case it can help.
its not business, its not affirmations, its not self help, its not motivation.. its none of that. its something else that is hard to explain.
they basically teach you about how your reality is based on your perceptions and interpretations of things that happen.
anyhoo, check out their website. it has lots of info.
they are all over the world as well.

It's great to see that something's worked for you.  I'd actually looked into the Landmark Forum a while back and was put off by the cost then (before being diagnosed with UC); but $500 is nothing compared to getting your health back.  I know a few people who have attended the forum and they have good things to say about it as a self-improvement course.  All the best!

I hope you have a very long remission, but I do not think it is related to landmark in anyway.
My UC has a 20 year history of changing directions. It is the nature of the beast. Probably
the meds kicked in. Landmark could be set up to take advatage of the desperate,
mentall ill and weak. Congrates on your remission.

None of us have UC because we chose it. And many of us have accepted that we have it, but that doesn't make it go away. It's not that simple, unfortunately. Glad you're in remission, but Landmark sounds like a cult.

This is what someone said who went to the forum (from one of the links posted above): "they make you sit there for 3 hours and tell you that if you need to go to the bathroom it is because you have no ability to manage yourself..." Scary.

hey, fair enough.  i hear you all and ive read the articles.

my husband always calls it a cult just to mess with me.  people always knock down stuff like this. its okay. everyone is entitled to their opinion.   at the moment i dont care what it is, i just care that overnight i am suddenly in full blown remission. like i never had it.

they talk about that stuff in there and they also have lots of positive articles written by medical and scientific experts.

i am not spending any more money with them. i thought $575 was super expensive until i did it and now i would pay 3 times that.
i didnt go to cure UC and they didnt claim they could help that.  that was just "my" outcome. everyone gets something different out of it.

also, i am in NO way affiliated at all with these people. i just did the forum on the recommendation from my business coach.  and i thought it was great.  they dont contact me or anything.

well, they just dont want you to miss anything since they teach a whole heap of stuff in just 3 days.  i told them my situation about UC and they gave me a reserved seat sign to sit by the door near the toilets.  so i had no problems.

how much money you're giving to this multi-million dollar PRIVATE organization. In my mind, anyone doing good things for people should be spreading the money around and be a non-profit.

okay, first off, i disagree.  i am a business owner and if i had good info and education to give people why shouldnt i be able to make money doing it.  i dont care if they make billions of dollars.  they have a good education to give people and i havent yet met anyone who regretted spending the money.  if you want to go then go. if you dont, then dont.  easy.

i thought it was worth every penny.  i want my family to go, but they dont want to so i dont bug them. 

i never claimed that it could cure anyone's uc... i just said what i got out of it and wanted to share in case it helps anyone else.

i do not personnally think that it is snake oil or a scam.  you might get something else out of it.  it is like life education i guess you can say.

it works with any person in any culture in any religion with any beliefs.  it doesnt even go there with any of that stuff. very neutral in that regard.

i would love to explain more about it, but its hard to explain exactly.

also, blesssteve... they have no idea about any of the 250 people that attend each forum so they dont take advantage of anyone. they dont advertise either.  you either go or you dont.  and once your there, you can leave if you want.  or you can listen and learn.

i didnt experience or see anything dodgey or suspect at all.

in fact, to even go you have to sign a waver saying that you are NOT mentally weak or have any mental issues.  they warn against anyone with mental problems attending.

Ten years ago, I too did the Forum. Great stuff. It helped me with my asthma (I use to have severe asthma since birth). I have not had an attack since 1998 and rarely use my inhalers. Now, that I have UC, I am working on my "racket", my "story" with UC and wondering why the devil  did I choose UC?

The comments are landmark terms (everything is made up, we are meaning making machines). My apologies for throwing in some lingo without explanations. I just wanted to give KazyGirl some support and hopefully a laugh for her new healing discovery.

I have an interesting take on this theory of wanting to be well that has been talked about from the seminars.  I read Daily Word and have a mailing from them regarding the three parts to healing: Have faith, be willing and give thanks. The "be willing" part describes asking yourself if you not only want to be healed but are you doing everything healthy to bring about healing. Just saw the similarity and thought I'd share.

I think the poster means that he/she chose to get UC, or at least that's what Landmark told him/her. It seems that Landmark tells people that its their fault if they got a chronic illness or any other negative thing happened in their life. If everyone would simply fork over tons of money to attend Landmark forums, and just "un-choose" UC, we'd be cured!!! Pretty disturbing stuff if you ask me.

BTW, Rio - I don't think anybody is showing a lack of enthusiasm or optimism toward kazy's remission, rather some of us are disturbed by Landmark's cult-like behaviors.
