The every-other-night plan usually works pretty well. Or, if you wanted to try something more gradual, you could squeeze only part of the enema in. (It's been a while since I've used Cortenema, but I remember it being like the Rowasa bottles where you can do that.) With Cortifoam, I sometimes just fill half the applicator while I'm trying to taper. That way I also get the psychological benefit of knowing I used it, which I'm sure helps a lot too!
I see in your signature that you're using Cortifoam in the AM. If you keep that constant and taper only the cortenema, your body is still getting some steroids every day. I think that will make it even easier to taper the cortenema by skipping a night.
Are you tapering off the cortenemas because you are feeling better? I hope so! If you're still not feeling well, I wouldn't taper off yet. I wait until I have no blood, nearly no mucus, and no D before I start lowering my Cortifoam use.
