first colonoscopy

I've had plenty c scopes. I awoke in the middle of the procedures, during 3 different ones and felt some pain. For my last 2 scopes I had the versed/demerol cocktail and didn't feel or remember a thing. I wish they had been using that combo of drugs before. My husband had his first scope last year and they also used the same combo. When he woke up he whispered to me "I think they forgot to do the procedure". He swears that they didn't touch him. The worst part is definitely the prep. And it is true about using the straw. Especially if you use a wide straw like the ones that come in some sports bottles. You just suck it down and you won't taste it because it's not sloshing around in your mouth. Good luck, that drug combo works very well.
