Thanks Sherry. That's what I had read about 6mp too, is that most people take it at night. When I asked my doctor he said it didn't matter that some people take it in the morning with the rest of their pills. So, I took my first one this morning. I'm starting with 50 Mgs. It sounds like based on my weight I will eventually go up to 75 Mgs, I think? I was definitely tired today, but I'm sure it had to do with me being awake at 3 am for 2 hours. So you think it would be better to take at night? Does it matter if it's not the same time every night? That's why I took it in the morning, because I'm pretty consistent about taking my meds within the same hour every morning and I'm sure to have breakfast too. Besides being tired what are the most common side effects?
Mel - I agree, each step is not always easy. If you read my very first post I was an emotional mess. It seemed like my world was ending. Fortunately, after a week of rest and feeling better I am able to think more clearly and I figured I might as well try this next step. I won't know what I'm missing out on if I don't try. I think giving self injectibles would be very hard, but to be honest one of the reasons why I started to be more optimistic is one of my best friends has been a diabetic since she was 9 years old. When I stop and think about everything she has had to endure, the blood tests, medication, insulin, etc...then I stopped and realized that I could certainly go get my blood levels tested every 3 months from taking 6mp. My friend is one of the most upbeat optimistic people you'll ever meet and I figured if she could live with a chronic disease and make a wonderful life for herself than I certainly can too. You hang it there too, and I hope Humira gets you to that next level too.
