Well, in one hour I am about to start my prep for tomorrows colonoscopy. My butt is already sort of sore due to the miniflare I've been in, my remi infusion on Monday seemed to be of little to no help this time. I guess that closes the door on more infusions for me. Ah well.... I think we'll move on to Humira, that's what my GI said at least. So now, another concern for me is dehydration due to the prep- does this happen? It says on the prep instructions not to drink large quantities of clear liquid after the prep is "done"- has anyone experienced serious dehydration? I'm a total worrywart. So please, wish me the best!

I've never heard about not drinking after the prep is done... Especially not clear liquids... Strange. Might be worth calling your doc to verify.

So, what do you have planned for yourself while you complete the prep? A new book? A movie? Some suduko? (I just bought a new book of them last night!)

Keep something close by to pamper your bum! Some A&D, Desitin, Aquaphor... Anything to keep the raw-ness away!

Oh no!! I hate prep!! I usually just bring my laptop in the bathroom with a blanky and watch movies :)
I don't think I've ever been dehydration after the prep but be careful about the liquids because I know you're not supposed to drink anything after a certain time, depending on when your colonoscopy is.
I like using baby wipes to mop things up. Hopefully you can find something to ease the burn!

oh boy- my bathroom is stocked with a 600 page book, a magazine, I will bring my cigs in in case I feel up to a smoke... We do have this huge tub of Aquaphor- I never thought of using it for that purpose but it's a great idea!. Thanks for replying! I'm freaking out about this stupid procedure! I guess I can drink liquids after the prep, but not "large quantities". whatever. I will definitely you all know the outcome- hopefully by tomorrow night I'll feel up to sitting & typing. After this, it's basically Humira, then if that doesn't help.... I dunno!!!!! My GI really pushes the surgeon.... not in a bad pushy way, but he's sort of fed up- me too! We've done everything, it seems.
