Has anyone had surgery to remove colon and reconnected with the small intestine? I am having some problems and wondered if anyone else has had it.

Lucy, welcome to HealingWell. We do have a member or two posting here who have had the surgery, but most of us still have our colons. You may have better luck getting help at the ostomy board or here:

Yes, I have had my colon and rectum removed and now have a jpouch. Not many folks on this site or the healingwell ostomy site have had this surgery for UC. A better place to go is www.j-pouch.org There are thousands of people on that site who have had either a jpouch, kpouch, or permanent ostomy and most are due to UC.
