I am going to ask a dumb question.
I am newly diagnosed and my doc did not explain this to me. What is a flair?

A flare would be when you have UC symptoms.
Remission would be when you have NO (or managable) symptoms.
So, bleeding, urgency, frequency, cramping, etc all point to flares.
Welcome to HW!

I just wanted to add on here - there is NO such thing as a dumb question. If you don't ask, you can't learn right? And I second the welcome to Healingwell :)

Thanks Sherry! I appreciate your answer. Oh yeah, I have asthma also, but I am doing great! I am blessed!
