Colonscopy and a cold

I am schedule for a colonscopy on Thursday morning and now I'm getting a cold w/fever.

Should I call me Dr and see if he still wants to do it? I REALLY do NOT want to put it off any further but I don't want to go through the 'prep' wednesday just to get turned away because I have a fever.

Yes, you should still call your doc to have his input on it. I personally see no harm in having the scope while having a cold but throw a fever in it and that sort changes.

Definitely let him know...especially before you do the prep..lol! Wouldn't want you to have to go through it twice....ugh.

How high is your fever? If it's low and Tylenol can control it...you might be fine for the c-scope.

Let us know the outcome.
