Pale/yellow stool - when to worry?

They check gallbladder with ultrasound and bloodwork. When I had mine out I had stool that was white! It was weird! I mentioned it to my doc when discussing UC and he ordered the tests to check my gallbladder, had it out the following week.

I remember mentioning gallbladder to you along time ago, I'm surprised with all your testing this hasn't been one of them. Ultrasound detects gallstones. If you have an attack you won't for get in a hurry but I had stones for a long time without symptoms other than nausea, unable to eat fatty meals. I'd def rule out gallbladder with yellow stool

I hope you're all better now 3 years later! what about primary sclerosing cholangitis? It seems to be linked to IBD and affects the liver. It damages bile ducts and could cause that. My son is starting to experience pale stools and has itchy skin. Taking him in for a bilirubin test this week.
