After I got diagnosed I realized that I would be spending a lot more time indoors and would not be getting out and about as much as I used to, or wanted to. I thought I would try to be productive with this time and also do something that would keep me from falling into a rut.
So, I enrolled in a part-time MBA. If it wasn't for UC then I probably would not have taken the initiative to do this now. It's been a challenge dealing with flares/getting anaemic/blood transfusions and sitting through classes, exams, and working on assignments too, but I have already finished 15 months of the program and only have 4 more months to go.
And more important than anything else, getting UC has re-affirmed how much my mother means to me, as she is always there for me, unconditionally.
