Went to New Doctor Today ...

Hi All!

Well, I went to my new GI today.  While I didn't fall in love with him, he's the best I've seen so far.  So, I guess he will do.  I kind of felt rushed; however, he did answer my questions. 

I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on the 18th.  Before he walked out the door he said, "We are going to figure something out on this."  That made me feel better.

My scope isn't until 1:30.  I am going to be so hungry and so cranky.  Say a prayer for my poor husband!

Hi Beth,

I do believe if you keep searching you'll find your answers. If you don't like you new GI after a while, switch. I've been to 13 doctors in 3 years and finally I have a MD/holistic doctor that is concerned and running proper tests. I've seen my results and tomorrow I have my consult. I do believe I have a bacteria issue and have said this for 3 years, one doctor helped but I don't think I got the right antibiotics for my gut, I got a full spectrum antibiotic. Anyways, don't give up, go with your gut feelings. Best of luck.

Thank you both for your kind words of support!  I greatly appreciate it.

I am really glad that my scope is relatively soon.  My mind starts racing and coming up with questions like, "what if it's something worse than UC?"  So, it will give me less time to freak out.  I really have to stop watching Mystery Diagnosis.

Hi Beth.....it's great you're in with a new doc and that your scope is set up soon. While you may have felt rushed, he must have picked up on your fears/frustration..etc because of how he ended the appointment...hopeful.

We all worry that it's something worse. Almost impossible to not.

What clean-out are you using before the scope?
